1. Introduction

1.1 About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CarBeep mobile application ("App") and related services ("Services") provided by CarBeep Sdn. Bhd. ("CarBeep", "we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated in Malaysia.

By creating an account or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App or Services.

1.2 About CarBeep

CarBeep is a digital marketplace platform that connects vehicle owners ("Customers", "you", "your") with automotive service providers, including but not limited to:

• Workshop services — vehicle maintenance, repairs, and servicing
• Insurance services — motor insurance quote facilitation and renewal

assistance

• Car loan services — vehicle financing application facilitation
• Car marketplace — vehicle listing, buying, and selling

CarBeep is a platform only. We are not a workshop, insurer, lender, or vehicle dealer. We facilitate connections between you and third-party service providers. All automotive services, insurance policies, loan decisions, and vehicle transactions are the responsibility of the respective service providers.

1.3 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App and require your re-acceptance before you can continue using the Services. Your continued use of the App after accepting updated Terms constitutes your agreement to the revised Terms.

We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision.

2. Eligibility and Account

2.1 Eligibility

To use the Services, you must:

• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Have a valid Malaysian mobile phone number (beginning with +60)
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not have been previously suspended or removed from the platform

For financial services (insurance renewal, car loan applications), you must meet any additional eligibility requirements set by the relevant financial institutions and as required under Bank Negara Malaysia ("BNM") regulations.

2.2 Account Registration

To access most features of the App, you must create an account by verifying your mobile phone number via a one-time password ("OTP") sent through WhatsApp or SMS.

You agree that:

• You will provide accurate, current, and complete information during

registration and maintain the accuracy of such information

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your

account

• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You will notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• One account per mobile phone number is permitted

2.3 Guest Access

Certain features of the App are accessible without an account ("Guest Mode"), including browsing workshop listings, viewing the car marketplace, and general information. Creating an account is required to make bookings, submit applications, or access personalised features.

3. Workshop Booking Services

3.1 Service Description

CarBeep allows you to discover, compare, and book automotive workshops for vehicle servicing and repairs. Workshops listed on CarBeep are independent third-party businesses, not employees, agents, or affiliates of CarBeep.

3.2 Booking Process

When you book a workshop service through the App:

1. Booking request — You select a workshop, date, time slot, and describe

the service needed

1. Workshop review — The workshop reviews your request and may accept,

decline, or propose changes

1. Deposit payment — Upon workshop acceptance, a deposit of RM50.00

("Deposit") is collected to confirm the booking

1. Service delivery — You bring your vehicle to the workshop at the

scheduled time

1. Quotation — The workshop provides a detailed quotation for the work

required

1. Final payment — Upon completion of the service, you pay the remaining

balance through the App. The Deposit is deducted from the total service bill, and you pay only the difference

3.3 Deposit Policy

• The default Deposit amount is RM50.00 per booking
• The Deposit is collected via the App at the time of booking confirmation
• The Deposit is applied toward the final service bill
• Deposit refund conditions are set out in Section 3.5 below

3.4 Cancellation and Rescheduling

Cancellation:

• You may cancel a booking that is in "Pending" or "Approved" status
• Cancellations made more than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled

appointment are eligible for a full Deposit refund

• Cancellations made less than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled

appointment may result in forfeiture of the Deposit, at the workshop's discretion

• If a workshop cancels or declines your booking, you will receive a full

Deposit refund

Rescheduling:

• You may reschedule a confirmed booking up to a maximum of three (3) times
• Rescheduling requests must be made at least twenty-four (24) hours before

the currently scheduled appointment

• After the third reschedule, the booking will be treated as a cancellation

3.5 Refund Policy

Refunds are processed to the original payment method. Refund processing times depend on your payment provider and may take up to fourteen (14) business days.

3.6 Payment

• All payments are processed through our third-party payment processor,

Stripe, which supports credit/debit cards, FPX (Financial Process Exchange), and e-wallets

• You agree to pay all fees and charges associated with your bookings
• All prices are displayed in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any

applicable taxes unless otherwise stated

• CarBeep does not store your credit card or banking details; all payment

information is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with PCI DSS standards

3.7 Workshop Responsibility

CarBeep does not perform, supervise, or guarantee any workshop services. The workshop is solely responsible for:

• Quality of workmanship and parts used
• Accuracy of quotations and final bills
• Timeliness of service delivery
• Compliance with applicable automotive standards and regulations
• Insurance and liability for damage to your vehicle while in their care

4. Insurance Services

4.1 Service Description

CarBeep facilitates motor insurance quote requests and renewal assistance by connecting you with licensed insurance providers registered with BNM. CarBeep acts as a platform to simplify the insurance renewal process.

CarBeep is not an insurance company, insurance broker, or insurance agent. We do not underwrite, issue, or guarantee any insurance policies. All insurance decisions, pricing, coverage, and claims are solely determined by the respective insurance providers.

4.2 Information Collection

To facilitate insurance quotes and renewals, we collect:

• Your identification number (IC/MyKad number or passport number)
• Your vehicle registration number (plate number)
• Other information as may be required by the insurance provider

This information is shared with the insurance provider(s) you select for the sole purpose of generating a quote or processing a renewal. Our collection and use of this information is described in detail in our Privacy Policy.

4.3 Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided for insurance purposes is accurate and complete. Providing false or misleading information may result in:

• Rejection of your insurance application
• Voiding of an issued policy
• Suspension of your CarBeep account

4.4 Insurance Provider Terms

Any insurance policy issued through our platform is governed by the terms and conditions of the respective insurance provider, not by these Terms. You should carefully review the insurance provider's policy documents, including coverage, exclusions, and claims procedures.

5. Car Loan Services

5.1 Service Description

CarBeep facilitates car loan applications by collecting and transmitting required documents to licensed financial institutions registered with BNM.

CarBeep is not a bank, lender, or financial institution. We do not make lending decisions, set interest rates, or guarantee loan approval. All loan decisions are made solely by the financial institution processing your application.

5.2 Document Collection

To process your loan application, we collect identity documents and financial documents ("KYC Documents") as required by the financial institution. These may include:

• MyKad (IC) front and back images
• Driving licence
• Payslips (latest 3 months; 6 months if commission-based income)
• Bank statements (latest 3–6 months)
• EPF statements
• Income tax forms (Form B/BE with LHDN receipt)
• SSM certificates and company documents (for business applicants)

The specific documents required depend on your employment type (salaried, self-employed, or company/Sdn Bhd). Full details of document handling, storage, and security are described in our Privacy Policy.

5.3 Processing Fee

A processing fee may be charged for loan applications. The fee amount will be clearly disclosed to you before you proceed with the application. Processing fees are set by CarBeep and are separate from any fees charged by the financial institution.

5.4 Loan Application Terms

• Submitting a loan application through CarBeep does not guarantee approval
• Loan terms (interest rates, tenure, conditions) are determined solely by the

financial institution

• You are responsible for the accuracy of all documents submitted
• Submitting fraudulent or forged documents is a criminal offence under

Malaysian law and will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to the authorities

5.5 Document Retention

KYC Documents submitted for loan applications are retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable BNM regulations. In general:

• Documents for approved loans are retained for seven (7) years from the

date of verification

• Documents for rejected or withdrawn applications are retained for

twenty-four (24) months from the decision date

• You may request deletion of your documents, subject to retention obligations

under applicable law

6. Car Marketplace

6.1 Service Description

CarBeep provides a marketplace for listing and discovering vehicles for sale. Listings may be created by individual sellers (consumer-to-consumer) or by registered dealers (business-to-consumer) through CarBeep's administrative team.

6.2 Listing Accuracy

If you list a vehicle on the marketplace:

• You warrant that all information provided (make, model, year, mileage, price,

condition, photos) is accurate, truthful, and not misleading

• You warrant that you have the legal right to sell the vehicle
• You acknowledge that CarBeep may remove listings that violate these Terms or

applicable law

6.3 CarBeep's Role

CarBeep is a platform only. We do not:

• Own, inspect, or certify any vehicle listed
• Guarantee the accuracy of any listing information
• Mediate disputes between buyers and sellers beyond providing communication

tools

• Process vehicle transactions directly (all transactions are between buyer and

seller)

6.4 Buyer Responsibility

If you purchase a vehicle through the marketplace, you are solely responsible for:

• Inspecting the vehicle before purchase
• Verifying ownership and the absence of encumbrances
• Conducting any necessary Puspakom inspection
• Arranging transfer of ownership with JPJ (Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan)
• Arranging payment directly with the seller

7. Loyalty and Rewards Programme

7.1 Programme Description

CarBeep may offer a loyalty and rewards programme ("Rewards Programme") that allows you to earn points through eligible transactions and redeem them for rewards.

7.2 Programme Terms

• Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for

cash

• CarBeep reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Rewards

Programme at any time with reasonable notice

• Points may expire if your account is inactive for a period specified in the

programme terms

• CarBeep reserves the right to forfeit points earned through fraudulent or

abusive activity

8. User Conduct

8.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App and Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Provide false, inaccurate, or misleading information
• Use the App for any fraudulent or illegal purpose
• Harass, abuse, or threaten any workshop, other user, or CarBeep staff
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App, other accounts, or our systems
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the App
• Circumvent any security measures or access controls
• Post or transmit any content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes any

third party's rights

8.2 Reviews and User Content

You may post reviews and ratings for workshops you have visited through bookings made on CarBeep. By posting a review, you:

• Grant CarBeep a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use,

display, reproduce, and distribute your review in connection with the Services

• Warrant that your review is based on a genuine experience and is truthful
• Acknowledge that CarBeep may moderate, edit, or remove reviews that violate

these Terms or our content guidelines

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 CarBeep's Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, content, logos, trademarks, and software, is the property of CarBeep or its licensors and is protected by Malaysian and international intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.

9.2 Third-Party Content

Workshop information, photos, and service descriptions are provided by the respective workshops. Vehicle listings are provided by sellers. CarBeep does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any third-party content.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

10.1 Privacy Policy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference and is available at:

10.2 Consent

By using the App and Services, you consent to the collection, processing, and use of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA").

10.3 KYC Documents

If you use our insurance or car loan services, you acknowledge that:

• CarBeep will collect and securely store your identity and financial documents
• These documents may be shared with authorised insurance providers and

financial institutions as described in our Privacy Policy

• Documents are encrypted at rest and in transit
• You will be notified when your documents are downloaded for submission to a

third-party partner (insurance provider or financial institution)

• You may request data access, correction, or deletion through the App or by

contacting our Data Protection Officer at privacy@carbeep.my

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Workshop Service Disputes

If you have a dispute regarding the quality of a workshop's service:

1. Contact the workshop directly through the in-app chat to attempt

resolution

1. Contact CarBeep support at support@carbeep.my if direct resolution fails
2. CarBeep will review the dispute and may facilitate communication, but

CarBeep is not liable for the quality of any workshop's services

11.2 Payment Disputes

For payment-related disputes:

1. Contact CarBeep support at support@carbeep.my within thirty (30) days

of the disputed transaction

1. Provide details of the booking and the nature of the dispute
2. CarBeep will investigate and respond within fourteen (14) business days
3. If a refund is warranted, it will be processed to the original payment method

11.3 Insurance and Loan Disputes

Disputes regarding insurance policies or loan decisions should be directed to the respective insurance provider or financial institution. CarBeep is not a party to insurance contracts or loan agreements and has no authority over their decisions.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 No Warranty

The App and Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. CarBeep makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

12.2 Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law:

• CarBeep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special,

consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services

• CarBeep's total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms

shall not exceed the total amount you paid to CarBeep in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim

• CarBeep shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from:
• The quality, safety, or legality of any workshop's services
• The accuracy of any workshop's quotations or descriptions
• Any insurance provider's decisions regarding coverage, premiums, or claims
• Any financial institution's decisions regarding loan applications
• Any vehicle listing's accuracy or the condition of any vehicle
• Unauthorised access to your account due to your failure to maintain account

security

12.3 Force Majeure

CarBeep shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of the Services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, wars, pandemics, government actions, power failures, internet disruptions, or third-party service provider outages.

13. Account Suspension and Termination

13.1 Suspension

CarBeep may suspend your account if:

• We reasonably suspect fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• You breach any provision of these Terms
• You fail to pay any amounts owed
• Your account poses a security risk

We will notify you of the suspension and the reason for it, where reasonably practicable.

13.2 Termination by You

You may delete your account at any time through the App by navigating to Settings > Delete Account. Upon account deletion:

• Your account will be immediately deactivated and you will be logged out
• Your personal data will be anonymised in accordance with our Privacy Policy
• Any pending bookings will be cancelled
• Any KYC documents will be retained as required by law (see Privacy Policy)
• A seven (7) day re-registration cooldown period will apply before you can

create a new account with the same phone number

13.3 Termination by CarBeep

CarBeep may terminate your account if:

• You materially breach these Terms
• You engage in fraudulent activity
• You submit forged or fraudulent documents
• Continued provision of Services becomes impractical or unlawful

13.4 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App and Services ceases immediately
• Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall

survive, including but not limited to Sections 9, 10, 12, 14, and 15

• Outstanding payment obligations remain due
• Data retention provisions in our Privacy Policy continue to apply

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.

14.2 Jurisdiction

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

14.3 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. General Provisions

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and CarBeep regarding the use of the Services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

15.2 Waiver

No failure or delay by CarBeep in exercising any right under these Terms shall constitute a waiver of that right.

15.3 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. CarBeep may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms without your consent.

15.4 Notices

We may send you notices via the App (push notifications or in-app messages) or to the phone number or email address associated with your account. You may contact us at:

15.5 Language

These Terms are drafted in English. In the event of any conflict between the English version and any translation, the English version shall prevail.
